Kyndra hat ihr Land fürs Erste vor dem Untergang gerettet, doch nun muss sie sich in feindliche Gebiete aufmachen, um den Frieden für ihre Heimat auch zu sichern. Das Cover gefällt mir gut und passt vor allem farblich hervorragend zum ersten Band. Vor allem die Landschaft gefällt mir und passt inhaltlich super zu meiner Vorstellung von Acre. Etwas schade finde ich, dass man gar keine Sterne sieht, denn diese spielen ja auch eine wichtige Rolle im Buch.
Über das Buch
Seit ich vor ungefähr drei Jahren den Auftakt dieser Reihe gelesen habe, war ich gespannt auf die Fortsetzung. Diese hat allerdings recht lange auf sich warten lassen, bis ich sie endlich in den Fingern hatte, und aufgrund der langen Zeit, hätte mir eine kleine Auffrischung der Ereignisse gut getan. In vielen Fortsetzungen gibt es eine zu ausführliche Zusammenfassung der vorangegangenen Ereignisse, hier gab es leider kaum einen Brotkrumen. Natürlich ich mir einiges in Erinnerung geblieben, aber viele Details und vor allem die zahlreichen Nebencharaktere waren mir eben nicht mehr ganz präsent, und es gab auch leider keinen Glossar, in dem ich mein Wissen hätte auffrischen können. So viel der der Einstieg in das Buch dann auch entsprechend schwer und ich habe mich eine ganze Weile gequält, bis es mich in seinen Bann gezogen hat. Als es dann aber endlich so weit war, hat es mich wieder begeistern können.
Im Gegensatz zum ersten Band mochte ich Kyndra weitaus lieber und fand sie weniger selbstsüchtig als zuvor. Dass sie sich vor ihrer schrecklichen Macht fürchtet, kann ich gut verstehen, und ihr Verhalten daher besser nachvollziehen. Natürlich sind auch Nediah und Bregenne wieder mit von der Partie, ebenso wie Kyndras Freunde aus Naris. Wie schon zuvor mag ich Bregenne besonders gerne. Sie ist eine so starke und gutherzige Persönlichkeit, die sich nicht scheut, Verantwortung zu übernehmen und sich auch unmöglichen Herausforderungen zu stellen, wenn es nötig wird. Außerdem kommen auch noch ein paar sehr interessante neue Charaktere hinzu, wie der Geheimnisvolle Char und seine Mutter, das Imperium im zurückgebrachten Acre und Kronostianer mit ihren unglaublichen Fähigkeiten.
Die Story verteilt sich auf mehrere Handlungsstränge und folgt den unterschiedlichen Charakteren. Kyndra und ihrer Gruppe auf dem Weg nach Acre, Char und seiner Mutter, einem Hauptmann des Imperiums sowie Bregenne und ihrem Begleiter, die auf ihrer ganz eigenen Mission sind. An all diesen Fronten gibt es Geheimnisse zu entdecken, Bündnisse zu schmieden und den Herausforderungen zu trotzen, die der Weg mit sich bringt, bis sich die einzelnen Stränge zu einem großen Ganzen verbinden. Insgesamt ist das Erzähltempo weitaus höher als im ersten Band und es gibt weniger langwierige Passagen. Ich fand das Spannungslevel ganz gut, und vor allem zum Ende hin lässt es die Autorin noch einmal so richtig krachen. Denn auf eines kann man sich verlassen, nichts ist ganz so, wie es den Anschein hat, und die Protagonisten sind immer wieder für eine Überraschung gut. Im Gegensatz zum ersten Band gibt es allerdings einen richtig fiesen Cliffhanger, der das Warten auf den letzten Band nun wirklich erschwert.
Fazit
„Naris – Das Schicksal der Sterne“ ist eine sehr spannende Fortsetzung die uns in eine fantastische Welt entführt. Durch die wechselnden Blickpunkte bleibt es sehr spannend und das Ende lässt mich besonders gespannt das große Finale erwarten. Wer Band 1 mochte wird von dieser Fortsetzung sicher nicht enttäuscht.
