Das Cover ist außergewöhnlich wie auch das Innendesign des Buches und passt dabei gut zum Inhalt. Vor allem für die jüngere Zielgruppe sicher ansprechend.
Über das Buch
Zoe weiß nicht mehr, wer sie ist. Ihre Eltern geben ihr die Schuld am Tod ihrer Zwillingsschwester, und sie versucht krampfhaft, sich zu erinnern und herauszufinden, was mit Maya passiert ist. Unterstützt wird sie dabei von ihrem Freund Elias, doch auch er scheint Geheimnisse vor ihr zu haben.
Das Buch ist aus der Ich-Perspektive von Zoe geschrieben, sodass man ihr und ihren Gefühlen sehr gut folgen kann. Dennoch konnte ich ihre Handlungen manchmal nicht nachvollziehen und hätte mir gewünscht, die hätte manchmal ein bisschen mehr nachgedacht. Das war im ersten Teil schon so, und ist auch hier wieder der Fall. Gestört hat mich diesmal auch, dass Zoe total in Selbstmitleid versinkt und es ist unglaublich, wie sehr sie auf sich selbst fixiert ist. Aber gleichzeitig hat mir gefallen, wie hartnäckig sie ist, wenn es darum geht die Ereignisse um Mayas Tod zu entschlüsseln. Bei manchen Dingen habe ich mich allerdings gewundert, wie lange Zoe brauchte, um dahinter zu kommen. Aber natürlich war sie auch ein bisschen zu sehr mit ihren paranoiden Gedanken beschäftigt.
Neben den altbekannten Charakteren wie Zoe, Elias und Niklas kommen nun auch noch ein paar neue Charaktere hinzu, wie zum Beispiel Zoes beste Freundin aus ihrer alten Heimat, oder ihre neue Arbeitskollegin. Die Mädels sind für sie da und bringen ein bisschen mehr Quirligkeit und Leben in die Story. Denn die sich anbahnenden Dreiecksgeschichte zwischen Elias, Zoe und Niklas hat mich schon ein wenig gestört.
Die Innengestaltung des Buches hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Die vielen kleinen Zeichnungen und Schnörkel haben das Lesevergnügen zu etwas ganz besonderem gemacht. Man konnte sich die Szenen sehr gut vorstellen und mit Zoes Vorstellungen und Beschreibungen einfach wunderbar vergleichen. Mal was ganz anderes und sehr originell umgesetzt. An manchen Stellen fand ich die grau hinterlegten Seiten aber auch etwas anstrengend fürs Auge.
Fazit
Eine weiterhin sehr spannende Story auf deren endgültige Auflösung ich nun besonders gespannt bin. Der Bilder-Aspekt hat das Ganze enorm bereichert und mir erneut gut gefallen und ich freue mich auf die Umsetzung im finalen Band.
