Über das Buch
In Engelsfors geht es nicht mit rechten Dingen zu. Einige Teenager entwickeln plötzlich
geheimnisvolle Fähigkeiten, und seltsame Todefälle ereignen sich. Das Böse hat Einzug in Engelsfors, und es gibt nur einen Weg, es aufzuhalten.
Ich habe nur die gekürzte Hörbuchfassung gehört und vielleicht liegt es daran, dass mich das Buch nicht so richtig fesseln konnte. Die ständigen Perspektiv-Wechsel haben es beim Hören ziemlich schwer gemacht, dem Ganzen zu folgen, und insgesamt fand ich es trotz der Kürzungen nicht ausreichend spannend. Außerdem fehlte dadurch vielleicht zu viel an Hintergrund-Informationen, denn manchmal hatte ich ziemlich das Gefühl, einfach auf dem Schlauch zu stehen. Und auch die Charaktere haben mir einfach nicht so zugesagt und ich konnte für keine von ihnen größere Sympathie empfinden. Obwohl ich das Thema Hexen sehr spannend finde, konnte es mich hier einfach nicht so richtig packen, und erst am Ende wurde es ein bisschen fesselnder. Mal schauen, ob mir der zweite Band besser gefällt, aber bisher ist es eher mittelmäßig.
Fazit
Der Auftakt zu Engelfors konnte mich (zumindest in der Hürbuch-Fassung) noch nicht so richtig packen, aber da ich das Thema generell spannend finde, und ich den zweiten Band ohnehin schon habe, werde ich dem Ganzen noch eine Chance geben.
